Russia's attack on Ukraine's Okhmatdyt hospital: all children's condition stabilized
Natalia Samonenko, head of the Center for Orphan Diseases at the Okhmatdyt National Children's Hospital, says that all the children are in stable condition today
She said this on Espreso TV.
"Today, the condition of all the children has been stabilized. We are very lucky that none of the patients were seriously injured. There are light wounds and shrapnel injuries. The children did not receive any significant injuries.
We have 4 seriously wounded hospital staff members. We also have two killed colleagues. One of them is Svitlana Lukianchyk. We are mourning them as a team, because they are part of our big medical family. I should also add that one of the visitors was also killed. He was not far from the explosion," Samonenko said.
The medic also spoke about one of the killed doctors, Svitlana Lukianchyk.
"Svitlana started working at our hospital right after graduation. She graduated from Kyiv Medical University. She worked in the nephrology department. There was a very good team there. Two doctors and a senior nurse from this department were injured," she added.
