The Center for Investigative Journalism reports this with reference to data from the Russian state registry.
It is noted that military unit No.6945 was registered at 133 Promyslova Street, where Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is located, on July 30, 2024.
"The rights of the founder are exercised by the Federal Service of the Russian National Guard," reads an extract from the register.
Thus, according to the Center for Investigative Journalism, Russia is trying to legitimize the presence of its military on the territory of the station.
- Recently, satellite images revealed defensive structures near the potential site of a new water pumping station on the territory of the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
