As a result of the attack, 12 people were injured, including one person hospitalized, seven suffered acute stress reaction (including 4 children: 3, 5, 8 and 16 years old), two were lightly injured, and two more people sustained cuts to their limbs, including a child of 13 years old.
"Law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of hostile crimes," added Syniehubov.
Later, Volodymyr Matsokin, the deputy mayor of Izium, told Espreso TV that the Russian shelling damaged a bakery and about 50 houses.
“Restoration work is currently underway. Electricity has been partially restored, gas service is running, and the utility company is getting things back in order. There is also damage to the building of the vocational education center located in the town,” added Matsokin.
