Russian troops intensify assaults and air strikes on Ukraine's southern front

Commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, said.

According to him, at the same time, Russia's losses in manpower and armored vehicles have increased in this area. The total losses of the Russian Federation in the operational area of the Tavria operational-strategic group amounted to 491 people. Seven invaders also surrendered.

Thus, over the past day, the Russian army launched 1 missile and 29 air strikes, carried out 38 combat clashes and fired 911 artillery shellings.

The defense forces destroyed 21 units of Russian military equipment. In particular, 3 tanks, 3 armored vehicles, 1 ATGM, 6 drones, 4 cars and 4 units of special equipment, including a self-propelled rocket launcher UR-77 Meteorit. Three ammunition depots were also destroyed. Another 11 units of equipment were damaged.

Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding the line in the Avdiivka direction.  At the same time, an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction is underway.

• A day earlier, it was reported that the invaders in the Tavria direction had reduced the number of attempts to storm the positions of the Ukrainian military, but continued to attack civilian infrastructure.
