Frontline situation

In addition to attacking in the south, near Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the enemy's attempts to advance on the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line. There is a certain calm there now, but it is rather conditional. A significant number of Russian forces are concentrated in this area. A certain regrouping of forces is taking place after they have conducted long and unsuccessful attacks. So, this is an early relocation, because the enemy does not have enough reserves. 

Luhansk direction

Nadia Zamryha, major, spokesperson for the 14th Detached Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great, spoke about the situation in the Luhansk sector. According to her, the enemy is not conducting assault operations, but is actively using unmanned aerial vehicles, artillery and aviation.

"The surrounding villages are shelled very often, and rocket and air strikes are carried out," Zamryha said.

According to her, there are several reasons for the lull at the front.

"The Russian forces are replenishing its losses in personnel and equipment, because they were significant and continue to be significant. We are well aware of the fact that the enemy is amassing forces and preparing. After Russia's unsuccessful attempts to attack in the Kupyansk sector, the enemy will not rest, it is obvious," said the major.

Last week was quite successful for the Ukrainian Armed Forces' gunners. They destroyed an Orlan and two drones called ZALA.

New team of Defense Minister Rustem Umerov

It is known that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine had already appointed three new deputy ministers of defense. That is Yuriy Dzhyhar, a former Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine. Kateryna Chernohorenko, who is famous for the service for parents of newborns "eMalyatko", will be responsible for digitalization in the Ministry of Defense. Natalia Kalmykova will be responsible for social issues and medicine. She was the executive director of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund.

Valery Drobot, if the information is confirmed, will be responsible for procurement of clothing and food, a segment of about UAH 10 billion. He was previously responsible for procurement at Med-Invest.

There is currently no information on candidates to replace the two people, Volodymyr Havrylov and Denys Sharapov, who were both responsible for arms procurement. In fact, the price of this sector is about UAH 300 billion. It is likely that there will be one person instead of 2.

As for the position of deputy for strategic communications, which was held by Hanna Maliar, there are rumors that this position was offered to a well-known spokesperson for one of the commands, but he refused.
