Russian troops mine fields near Robotyne and Verbove to halt Ukrainian Armed Forces
Russian forces intensify mining efforts near Robotyne and Verbove. Russia is trying to keep Ukrainian forces on the frontline as far away from its base as possible
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported the information.
Russian propagandists claim that Russian troops began mining previously cleared areas on the Robotyne-Verbove line to achieve a tactical surprise.
"The milbloggers claimed that heavy Russian mining and remining efforts have disrupted the movement of heavy Ukrainian cargo and equipment in these areas in recent days," the statement said.
According to one of the propagandists, Russian troops have intensified tactical offensive operations in several frontline areas outside the Zaporizhzhia region to stretch the Ukrainian defense and divide the military's attention.
At the same time, Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the Tavriisk Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that Russian troops are trying to fix Ukrainian forces in the Avdiivka and Marinka directions to prevent them from moving their reserves to the Zaporizhzhia region.
