Russian infantry near Bakhmut is only 30% equipped — Ukrainian fighter
Oleh Kalashnikov, a spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Lieutenant General Roman Dashkevych, says that the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy a large number of Russian heavy equipment and artillery every day
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is constantly trying to attack the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy is still trying to hold on to the railroad that runs from Bakhmut to Horlivka. Observing the dynamics of the battle for Bakhmut, we can say that earlier the enemy maintained up to 100,000 troops here. Currently, the number of the enemy group has decreased to 50,000. The enemy is constantly replenishing its forces with mobilized and assault units. It should be noted that it is the enemy's weapons that are a sore spot," emphasized Kalashnikov.
According to the military, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are successfully neutralizing Russian heavy equipment on a daily basis.
"The enemy forces are currently dealing with incomplete units, with their infantry equipped at only 30% capacity. Despite this, the Russian forces persist in their active actions, making continuous counterattacks against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which result in the loss of their weaponry. Ukrainian defenders destroy a large number of enemy artillery every day and have already reached parity. The invaders are starting to have problems with shells," Kalashnikov emphasized.
