Russia loses 12 tanks, 25 artillery systems, and 870 soldiers in one day – General Staff

Ukrainian army repelled all enemy attacks in the Bakhmut direction, Russians attempted to surround Avdiivka

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, near the border with Belarus, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, carries out active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to critical frontline areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled over 25 Russian attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, as well as about 5 attacks near Nadiia in Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled over 10 Russian attacks in the areas of Nadiia and SerebryankaForestry, Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled all Russian attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Khromove, Ivanivske, Andriivka, and Druzhba, Donetsk region. Ukrainian defense forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian enemy, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, the Russian army keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka, but Ukraine's soldiers are holding the line, inflicting numerous losses on their enemy. The invaders' offensive actions in the areas of 6 settlements in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful, over 20 attacks were thwarted. 

In the Marinka direction, the Russian troops launched unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Marinka, Pobyeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Here, Ukrainian soldiers repelled about 24 hostile attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, the Russian invaders carried out unsuccessful assaults near Verbove, Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, and Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces are carrying out counter-battery combat, inflicting fire damage on Russia's rear.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, consolidating their positions, and exhausting Russian troops.

In Nova Kakhovka, local police are searching for approximately 60 Russian deserters

In the city of Nova Kakhovka, in the Kherson region, the occupying forces have intensified their control measures.

The so-called local police are conducting searches for around 60 Russian soldiers who have left their posts in the city.

Russian forces carried out 10 missile strikes in Ukraine within 24 hours

Russian forces executed 63 aerial attacks and launched 58 MLRS attacks on our military positions and civilian areas. These Russian attacks have resulted in casualties among the civilian population. Multiple apartment buildings, private residences, and other civilian infrastructure were either destroyed or damaged.

Additionally, Russian invaders initiated another aerial and missile attack using a Kh-59 guided missile and S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles against civilian targets in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted the Kh-59 missile and all attack drones, which included 4 Shahed-136/131 UAVs and 1 unidentified type of attack UAV.

Air strikes were carried out in various locations, including Ivanivka and Kurylivka in the Kharkiv region, Nadiia and Nevske in the Luhansk region, as well as several areas in the Donetsk region such as Serebryanka, Spirne, Vyimka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, New York, Novokalynove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Marinka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, and Staromayorske.

In addition, towns and settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions experienced artillery fire, affecting approximately 140 communities.

The Air Force conducted 7 airstrikes targeting areas with a concentration of Russian forces

In the last 24 hours, our Defense Forces' Air Force carried out 7 strikes on areas where the enemy had their troops, weapons, and military equipment.

Our missile units successfully destroyed 4 enemy artillery pieces.

• Natalia Humeniuk, who leads the joint press center for coordination in the Southern Ukraine Defense Forces, emphasized that there were no Shahed-type drone attacks in the southern region of Ukraine. The debris from one of the downed drones caused damage to the roof of a warehouse in the port infrastructure.
