Russian enemy is attacking Bakhmut heavily, destroying the city - Lieutenant Konon of Svoboda battalion

He told this on Espreso TV.

"The Svoboda battalion and I are currently in combat coordination, and the guys from the 4th Rubizh Operational Brigade and other units of the Armed Forces and the National Guard are standing in their positions telling us that the situation in Bakhmut is very difficult. The enemy is making a big assault. They are destroying the city, which no longer exists in the usual sense. All buildings are damaged in one way or another. There are houses that have been destroyed to the foundation. The enemy is trying to squeeze through and continue to impose its "Russian world," said the lieutenant of the Svoboda battalion of the National Guard.

Roman Konon noted that Ukrainian soldiers are holding their positions and defending them strongly, unfortunately, this has a price - the lives of our fighters, for whom we will definitely take revenge.

"Bakhmut has been under attack since July 2022. During this period, the Russian army has lost more than 50 thousand of its personnel. For comparison, this is about the size of an average army in Europe. This is the number of people that the Russians have killed near Bakhmut, and the city continues to be Ukrainian. And now there are bloody and heavy battles going on there, but still, the city is not captured by the enemy," Konon emphasized.
