Russian emissary threatens West with "expansion of the armed conflict zone" over aid to Ukraine

The speech of the head of the Russian Federation Delegation, Konstantin Gavrilov, at the OSCE Forum on Security Cooperation was imbued with such rhetoric.

The representative of the Russian Federation doesn't like the fact that at every opportunity he is pointed to the crimes of his country, every time the unity of the countries of the West is emphasized, and he is ostracized. He also accused the West of "forcing" Russia to attack Ukraine:

"The West refuses to recognize that the reason for the Special Military Operation in Ukraine was the long-term refusal to take into account the legitimate interests of the national security of the Russian Federation. Our concerns were not taken seriously. The NATO military machine was approaching the Russian borders closely. As a result, we were forced to start defending our sovereignty and rights for a secure future by other means. In this round, Great Britain, Canada and the European Union once loudly accused Russia, but under the leadership of the United States, they prepared Ukraine for war with our country for eight years. Now these "light democracies" are doing everything to prolong the conflict and cause maximum damage to Russia and its people. They just can't get away with it. We guarantee".

He further noted that the increase in transfers of Western weapons to Kyiv may force the Russian Federation to take tougher actions in response:

"The peculiarities of the tactical and technical characteristics of the weapons and military equipment supplied by the West are such that they pose a threat to our citizens. Under these conditions, we will push the neo-Nazis away from our borders in proportion to the range of the missile systems used by Kyiv. And then we'll see".

Gavrilov continued his accusations that Washington is pushing European satellites to cooperate closely with Kyiv and escalate relations with Moscow, forcing them to train Ukrainian soldiers and use their territory as a transit zone for weapons supplies:

"These actions can lead to the expansion of the zone of armed conflict. Colleagues, do not let the overseas masters dull your vigilance: if the Ukrainian Armed Forces use American MLRS or other NATO long-range weapons against Russian territory, the consequences will be more than serious".

In continuation, he pleased himself with the fact that the goals and tasks of the special military operation will definitely be fulfilled, and the soon-coming "Marshal Frost" and the successful course of the operation will put everything in its place:

"Our country will help the Ukrainian people to get rid of the anti-people and anti-historical regime in Kyiv, where political scoundrels manipulate the issue of restoring Ukraine's statehood within its former borders in order to cut off the money flows allocated to the Nazi-drug junta by Western countries".
