Russian agents look for ways to prevent weapons supply to Ukraine - diplomat Yelchenko
Ukrainian diplomat, former Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN (2015-2019) and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the USA (2020-2021) Volodymyr Yelchenko has said that the less public information there is regarding the acquisition of weapons, the less Russia will be able to find out.
He shared his opinion with Espreso
"The supply of weapons to Ukraine is a sensitive security topic. In recent weeks, the entire Russian machine, and all the agencies around the world have been activated precisely on the question of how to prevent the supply of weapons. They are looking for people in the governments of NATO and EU countries, and they understand that this is the main factor of their future military defeat," Yelchenko noted.
The diplomat also added that at the Ramstein-style meeting, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that monthly meetings are planned regarding military aid to Ukraine.
"We also agreed on contacts with Ukrainian industry regarding the repair and maintenance of military equipment - this is planned work for a long time," Yelchenko emphasized.
