Shoigu's statements are lies: military expert Zgurets on enemy losses near Avdiivka and situation in Krynky
Serhii Zgurets, Defense Express CEO and military expert, commented on Russian Defense Minister Shoigu's statements, deeming them false and surprising even to Russian military bloggers
He said it during an interview on Espreso TV channel.
Zgurets stated, "Shoigu's claims about the losses near Avdiivka and in Krynky are both untrue. They even caused surprise among the Russian military bloggers. The extent of Shoigu's deception knows no bounds. If the Ukrainian army's destruction of 47 thousand enemy personnel is considered minimal losses for the Russian army, what would constitute significant losses? Regarding Krynky, the situation remains unchanged; Ukrainian marines still control this bridgehead."
Zgurets acknowledged the ongoing challenges on the left bank of the Dnipro but stressed the continuity with previous months' actions.
"This bridgehead serves as a strategic deterrent, preventing the enemy from reallocating forces to other fronts, crucial for the overall front line. While efforts to push our bridgehead are expected. Reports indicate Russian attempts to attack Krynky from the west, aiming to facilitate the landing of Russian forces behind our group. We know this. If enemy boats with paratroopers appear, they become ideal targets for our drones and artillery. The situation remains difficult but foreseeable," he added.
- Notably, Russian Defense Minister Shoigu claimed that the Russian army had gained control of Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region, a statement later refuted by the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine.
