Wreckage of Russian Shahed drone found in Romania again
On September 24, the wreckage of a Shahed-type attack drone was found in Romania in a community located opposite Ukrainian city of Izmail
This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of Defence.
The military was inspecting the area in search of possible fragments of the UAV that could have fallen over Romania's border in recent weeks as a result of Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports on the Danube.
In particular, on Tuesday, September 24, they inspected the area around the village of Plauru in Tulcea County, where they found the wreckage of a Shahed, which was then sent for further examination.
‘The on-site examinations revealed that the fragments in question came from a Russian Geranium-2 drone,’ the Romanian Defence Ministry added.
The ministry also condemned Russian attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, which violates international law.
