US and Western policy is not to annoy Putin: political strategist

Taras Zahorodniy, political strategist and managing partner of the National Anti-Crisis Group, expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.

“Unfortunately, so far the policy of the West and the United States is not to bother Putin too much, so that Russia remains an integral and stable state. Ukraine should proceed from the basic scenario that Ukraine will not be given enough weapons to win. They will give us a little bit, as is happening now. But their position is not to give Ukraine the weapons to win. To hold the front, yes, this is basically how it is happening, and it is likely to continue. 

Therefore, we must proceed from this basic scenario. We will be able to break it when we produce enough weapons ourselves so that, for example, ATACMS will no longer be needed if we start with short-range missiles. Ukraine needs to work harder to avoid running around for permits. Because the West is built like this: the more you produce yourself, the more you will be helped, because they help the strong and self-sufficient,” he said.

Today, society must focus on the national idea, including its own defense industry, and demand that the government increase its funding. If Ukraine continues to produce weapons at the appropriate pace, it will be able to knock Russia out of the war this winter,” Zahorodniy said.

“The country has money, no matter what they say. If there is no money, then give us the opportunity to export weapons. They have been talking about this for a long time, but it hasn't happened yet. In the first year alone, arms manufacturers will export $1 billion, pay UAH 200 billion in taxes within the country, and taxes will not need to be raised, as is the case now. 

It is necessary to ensure the secrecy of the military-industrial complex enterprises so that enterprises, including foreign ones, can enter and finance military risks. There are still no long-term contracts for arms manufacturers. If we take all this into account, we will be more relaxed about who will be President of the United States and feel confident. We will have the opportunity to win quickly, not in 2026 or 2027. If Ukraine continues to produce weapons at this rate, it will be able to knock Russia out of the war this winter. To do this, we need to create a blackout in Moscow with the resources we have,” he explained.

According to the political strategist, as long as Putin is in power, the war will continue. He is not going to negotiate with Ukraine. It's all a hoax and a lie.

“Putin is going to negotiate with the United States regarding Ukraine. Putin made his position clear on the eve of the first Peace Summit, and he will not back down from it. By the way, Zakharova recently confirmed that the position has not changed. That is, they want Ukraine to leave four regions, and they want an international conference to be held where countries sign the annexation of Ukraine. This is what Putin wants. What should we do? Again, develop the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. Russia's energy sector is the Achilles' heel in this war. Ukraine can create chaos in St. Petersburg and Moscow this winter, and chaos in Moscow is about knocking Russia out of the war,” he summarized.
