He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Now Kurakhove looks like a destroyed town, perhaps not to the same extent as Avdiivka. But when you drive around, you hardly see anyone on the streets; people are hiding. There is a lot of destruction—ruined houses, burned cars at the entrances. Kurakhove may soon face the same fate as Avdiivka. God forbid the Russians enter the town," emphasized Makhovskyi.
According to the volunteer, pharmacies and shops in Kurakhove are not working. Three weeks ago, equipment was taken out of the local hospital.
“The police are working in the city, as well as the evacuation groups White Angels, which are trying to help people, evacuate them and deliver humanitarian aid necessary for survival,” Makhovskyi added.
- On September 23, British intelligence estimated distance for Russian troops to reach Pokrovsk.
- During the day of September 23, 143 combat clashes took place at the front between the two armies. Russian forces continue to attack the Ukrainian Defense Forces' positions in 11 key areas.
