British intelligence estimates distance remaining for Russian troops to reach Pokrovsk
The occupying Russian army is advancing along various parts of the frontline, with Pokrovsk emerging as the most intense. Russian forces are steadily advancing closer to the city
The UK Ministry of Defense reported the information.
According to foreign intelligence, the town of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region remains the primary target for Russian troops. Reports indicate that Russian forces have likely occupied the towns of Hrodivka, located east of Pokrovsk, and Ukrainske, situated to the south.
“Russian forces remain approximately 8km from Pokrovsk. Ukrainian reinforcements, urban areas, and Ukrainian defences have likely contributed to slowing Russia's advance on the axis in the past week,” the report said.
The situation in the Kharkiv direction
In the northeastern Kharkiv region, Russian troops advanced west of the village of Pishchane. They now occupy a small ledge 3.5 km from the Oskil River.
Intelligence suggests that Russian troops are seeking to reach the eastern bank of the Oskil River to use it as a natural defensive barrier and create conditions for future operations.
