Deputy Defense Minister Oleksandr Balanutsa recently met with Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Jagu, the Ambassador of Spain to Ukraine.
"We urgently need to accelerate the delivery of air defense equipment, particularly the Hawk system. The enemy continues its air terror and massive bombardments, so we must ensure these systems reach our troops as soon as possible," Balanutsa emphasized.
He also expressed gratitude to the Spanish government, noting that their total aid could surpass €1 billion by the end of 2024.
- Spain has committed to sending a full battery of HAWK air defense systems to Ukraine — comprising six launchers — immediately.
