Umerov approves action plan to implement cooperation program with NATO for 2024
On March 1, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov approved the Ministry of Defense's action plan for the implementation of the adapted annual national program (ANP) for cooperation with NATO for 2024
The press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
It is noted that the program was developed to implement the agreements following the Vilnius NATO Summit. The key priority of the program is to reform the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
"The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as the coordinator of the defense forces, must ensure systemic changes on the path to NATO membership. Therefore, the implementation of the ANP measures is one of the priorities. The program measures take into account the recommendations of NATO experts," Umerov said.
The agreed plan provides for more than 50 measures of the Ministry of Defense within 17 goals to be implemented during 2024.
"Maximum attention was paid to the process of monitoring the implementation of measures. At the same time, the document remains a flexible tool that is subject to annual review of priorities based on the dynamics of the security situation," said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stanislav Haider.
