Ukrainian defence forces stabilised situation near Chasiv Yar - DeepState co-founder Pohorilyi
Roman Pohorilyi, the co-founder of DeepState — an interactive online map of hostilities in Ukraine, commented on the situation in the Chasiv Yar area in the Bakhmut direction
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The enemy is trying to use every opportunity to advance into Chasiv Yar head-on, from the flanks, but the situation there has more or less stabilised. The enemy is regrouping, bringing in new forces, and constantly shelling the city from the air. The Russian assault groups are trying to amass infantry in some areas and advance. So this dynamic is happening all the time. But the fighters who hold Chasiv Yar and the new brigades that have arrived there have stabilised the situation," Pohorilyi said.
According to him, the only dynamics taking place in the area now are attempts to probe.
"The enemy is trying to find weaknesses somewhere, to saturate the area with personnel, to pull up reserves. Therefore, the situation can change at any time, because the enemy is unpredictable in the use of its forces and in its advance," he added.
