Military expert: Russians may mobilize large army
Military expert Mykhailo Prytula suggests that Russia lacks the resources to seize new Ukrainian territories
He shared his views on Espreso TV.
"There's no fertile land in the captured territories of Donbas, nothing useful for the Russians. There used to be an industry there, but it's gone and won't return. It's a gray zone, worse than Transnistria. So, it makes sense for Russia to keep advancing and capture all of Ukraine. But to do that, they'll need to mobilize a large army. We'll see if they do it in the coming days," said Prytula.
A military expert stated that the Russians won't have the manpower they currently possess to carry out large-scale operations for capturing new territories.
"The Russian Federation can mobilize, and if they do, they'll come in large numbers. Ukraine's General Staff reported a one and a half times increase in Russian casualties, indicating intensified fighting with no regard for casualties. If Russia sends a large force into Ukraine and these forces are defeated using modern weapons, it'll be a significant blow for Russia. They'll likely try to avoid such a scenario," Prytula added.
