Zelenskyy prepares false reports about shelling of civilians, massacres, torture: foreign fakes for May 15
Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of anti-Ukrainian fakes and manipulations that appeared in the world on May 15
This is reported by Espreso TV.
According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, two fakes appeared in the world on May 15.
Disinformation: Irish journalist Chay Bowes wrote on his Twitter account X: "Peace is a dirty word in Kiev. They are now preoccupied with lining their pockets with the last flush of cash from their Western sponsors. When that's gone, they will head off to Switzerland, South of France, and Florida and leave the ordinary Ukrainians with their graves.”
Rebuttal: The journalist is trying to portray Ukraine as a corrupt state whose government is allegedly concerned with its own interests rather than resolving the military situation in the country. The purpose of such messages is to discredit the Ukrainian leadership and create the impression that military assistance to Ukraine is ineffective.
Disinformation: The Turkish media dikGAZETE wrote: "Zelenskyy, who is a very good manipulator, has prepared many false reports such as shelling of civilians, massacres and torture of the Ukrainian people on established film platforms and presented these images to the world community through Western media and social networks.”
Rebuttal: This is a retranslation of Russian propaganda narratives aimed at justifying Russia's war crimes against Ukrainians. In fact, the crimes of the Russian army described in the article were recorded by both Ukrainian and foreign media and organizations.
