A little later, closer to the morning, the missile hit the Triumf S-400 air defense system near the village of Vyshneve. After the attack, the air defense system burst into flames.
Russian-installed head of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev reported the explosions on May 15.
"Air defense is working in Sevastopol. All services are on high alert," he wrote, adding that the Russian military is allegedly working to destroy air targets.
Later, at 2:18 a.m., the Russian news agency TASS with reference to the Telegram channel on the operational situation on the bridge approaches stated that traffic was temporarily blocked on the Crimean bridge.
At 2:35 a.m., Razvozhayev wrote that according to preliminary information, Russian air defense allegedly shot down several missiles over the water and near the Belbek airfield.
"All city services are on alert. Sevastopol rescue service extinguished a fire caused by fallen shrapnel near the village of Polyushka. No damage to civilian infrastructure has been recorded so far," he said.
At 3:16 a.m., TASS reported that traffic on the Crimean bridge had resumed.
In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian air defense had allegedly eliminated 10 ATACMS tactical missiles, RIA Novosti reported.
Meanwhile, Krym.Realii reports that a fire broke out at night near the Russian airbase Belbek.
According to the project, the 38th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Russian Air Force, the Sevastopol Aviation Rescue Center of Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry, 12 Su-27 aircraft, 12 Su-27SM aircraft, three combat training Su-27UBs, and 5 two-seater Su-30M2 aircraft are stationed at the airfield.
"It is unclear whether the fire was caused by a missile strike," the journalists added.
