Russian advance is temporary success: major explains how to prevent Russia's strategic advantage
Ukrainian National Guard Major Oleksii Hetman names three components that will help prevent the advance of the Invading Russian troops
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Our strategy is to restrain the enemy's offensive actions, which means we have to restrain this offensive. Russian advances should be seen as temporary successes, which we will then reverse. We have two homework assignments, and our partners have completed the third homework assignment, which is the supply of weapons. But these weapons cannot be delivered immediately, they must come in small batches. Because logistical capabilities and throughput capacity are also limited," noted Hetman.
According to the reserve major of the National Guard, to stop the Russian army, Ukraine needs to build fortifications with mines around them and mobilize.
"We need to involve people because, in addition to weapons, we also need people who will use these weapons. That is, there are three components: weapons, people and fortifications. If all this is done, there will be tactical advances by the enemy in some locations, but the Russians will not achieve a strategic advantage," added Hetman.
- The Russian army has advanced no more than 8 kilometers from the border since the beginning of the intensified offensive in the Kharkiv region.
- Roman Vlasenko, head of the Sieverodonetsk District Military Administration, noted that the intensity of Russian military operations in the Luhansk region has decreased.
- Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the Achilles battalion of the 92nd separate assault brigade named after Ivan Sirko, noted that the situation in Vovchansk is the most difficult.
