Russian troops strike Kharkiv region with cluster munitions, Vovchansk head among wounded

The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported the information.
"The occupiers barbarically attacked the village of the Vovchansk community with cluster munitions. Volunteers and civilian emergency services are working in broad daylight, when dozens of people are fleeing the attack," he wrote.
So far, five people have been reported injured: two medics, two drivers, and the head of the Vovchansk city military administration.
Later, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office informed that the number of victims had increased to six: a 48-year-old local resident had also been injured.
A pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has now been initiated.
8,800 people evacuated from the border areas of the Kharkiv region
Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) reported the information.
"The evacuation of civilians from the frontline areas is ongoing in the Kharkiv region. The SES, the National Police, volunteers and representatives of local communities have already evacuated about 8,800 people from under fire to safe places," the statement said.
People are being evacuated from seven communities in Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv districts. Emergency workers are working both at intermediate evacuation points near the combat areas and at a collection point in Kharkiv. Civilians are transported in an armored car.
In addition, people who were forced to leave their homes are being assisted by SES psychologists.
