Ukraine returns six more children from Russian-occupied Kherson region
Six more children - a girl and five boys - have been returned from the temporarily occupied Kherson region to the territory controlled by Ukraine
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, shared the information.
He noted that six children aged 5 to 12 were rescued from Russian camps.
According to the head, due to the threat of sending their children to the so-called rehabilitation, parents decided to leave the occupation, as there were cases when children were taken away and not returned home.
“Save Ukraine worked on their return. It was an extremely difficult rescue mission with delays at checkpoints and intimidation,” Prokudin wrote.
Now all the children are safe. Doctors and psychologists are working with them.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration also said that since the beginning of 2024, a total of 84 children from the Kherson region have been returned to the government-controlled territory.
