Ukraine is likely preparing to fire long-range missiles at Russian territory
Defense Express Development Director Valerii Riabykh believes that the Ukrainian drone attacks on radars on Russian territory are a sign that the Ukrainian troops are preparing to increase missile attacks on Russia
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"The preparatory stage is now underway to hit the territory of the Russian Federation with long-range missiles. This is evidenced by the strikes of the Defence Forces on radar systems in Russia. If Ukrainian drones are already flying such a long distance, this also indicates that the routes are being worked out very seriously. It is also likely that our drones are scanning the territory of the Russian Federation for air defence systems," explained Riabykh.
The expert noted that strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation will increase.
"The attack on the radar system in Orsk that took place today could have been a test case for shelling. Because drones do not have such a large payload. However, such targeted strikes can cause great damage to Russia. It should also be noted that if Ukraine gets long-range missiles, the flight tasks will be worked out. We can get such missiles from our partners or as part of our own missile programme. Therefore, it is likely that strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation will increase not only with the help of UAVs, but also missiles," he added.
- On Sunday, May 26, a drone of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine targeted the Voronezh M long-range target detection radar in Orsk, Orenburg region of the Russian Federation.
