Ukraine reports 152 combat clashes on Jan. 20, repels 73 assaults in Pokrovsk direction

On January 20, 152 combat clashes took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Russian forces are attacking most actively in the Pokrovsk direction

The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reported the following updates as of 8:00 a.m.

Over the past day, 152 combat clashes were recorded.

According to the latest data, Russia launched three missile attacks (with five missiles) on Ukrainian positions and civilian areas, conducted 72 air strikes, deployed 111 KAB bombs, and used 2,653 kamikaze drones. Additionally, nearly 5,000 attacks were carried out, with 91 of them involving MLRS.

Russian air strikes targeted 14 Ukrainian settlements.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 22 Russian troop and equipment concentrations, 11 command posts, 10 artillery systems, 4 air defense facilities, 4 military-technical property warehouses (including ammunition and fuel), and 9 other key Russian targets.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, three combat clashes took place near Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk direction, eight Russian attacks took place yesterday. Ukrainian defense forces repulsed Russian assaults near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked 15 times. They tried to advance near Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Kopanky, Nevske, Terny and in the direction of Zarichne.

In the Siversk direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions once near Verkhnokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, nine combat clashes were recorded near Chasiv Yar and in the direction of Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops carried out 17 attacks near Toretsk, Krymske, Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka and Ozarianivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped 73 Russian assault and offensive actions near Vodiane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Promin, Yelyzavetivka, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly and Yantarne.

In the Novopavlivka direction, seven Russian assaults were stopped. Russian troops tried to attack the Ukrainian positions near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Velyka Novosilka and in the direction of Pryvilne.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian troops made four unsuccessful attempts to storm the Ukrainian positions in the island zone of the Dnipro delta.

In the Kursk region, the Ukrainian forces fought off 11 attacks by Russian troops over the past day. Russian forces launched 30 air strikes using 41 guided bombs and launched 452 artillery attacks at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements.

In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, the occupying Russian army did not conduct any assault operations yesterday.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian army is actively using artillery and aviation near Ukrainian settlements.
