During the meeting, the leaders signed a series of documents and declarations, which, according to the Turkish president, outline cooperation in various areas, including military, defense industry, and culture.
“We also shared our assessments of the war in Ukraine, which is now affecting all of Europe. We agreed that a just, lasting, and permanent peace must be established in accordance with the fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter before the consequences of the war deepen further for our neighbors,” Erdoğan stated.
He added that Turkey and Slovakia will reportedly “continue their efforts to achieve a ceasefire and establish lasting peace.”
