Number of drone strikes matches artillery, UAV development is priority — Syrskyi
In the modern warfare realities, the number of drone strikes is on par with artillery, making drones a priority for the army
Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of Ukrainian Armed Forces, made the statement.
Syrskyi held a working meeting with some of the most successful commanders of UAV combat units, including Magyar, Achilles, Pharmacist, Flint, Smoke, Charlie, Guru, K-2, and others. Some of the commanders joined online from the field.
Syrskyi noted that work continues on scaling up the successful use of all types of UAVs at the front.
"Our task is to be technologically one step ahead of the enemy both in striking with drones and in protecting against them. But the most important task of technology and innovation is to save the lives of our military," he emphasized.
Syrskyi added that unmanned systems are one of the most dynamic areas where changes are happening every day, "and we have no right to be behind."
"We have a clear action plan. Our joint work continues. I thank everyone who helps, trains drone operators, manufactures and supplies drones for Ukrainian Defense Forces!" Syrskyi summarized.
