Kyiv is initiating an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council because of Russia's massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine on July 8, including a strike on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in the capital

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw.
He stressed that Kyiv was convening the UN Security Council because of the Russian attack on civilian infrastructure, including the children's hospital.
"Ukraine is now initiating the convening of an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with the Russian attack on civilian infrastructure, including a children's hospital," Zelenskyy said.
- On the morning of Monday, July 8, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with missiles. The attack killed at least 20 people and injured dozens of others.
- On July 8, Russians attacked the toxicology department of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv, where patients were receiving dialysis. It was established that Russia attacked the building with a Kh-101 missile. At least two people have been reported dead.
