Russia's July 8 missile attack on Ukraine 'dedicated' to NATO anniversary summit - political analyst
Political analyst Volodymyr Tsybulko believes that by launching a massive missile attack on Kyiv on July 8, Russia's Vladimir Putin is trying to force Ukraine to negotiate
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"This attack is 'dedicated', as I understand it, to the NATO anniversary summit. It could also be dedicated to the birthday of General Zaluzhnyi, who really got under the aggressor's skin. Such savagery, with attacks on hospitals and residential buildings, is due to Putin's desperate attempts to force the start of negotiations by any means necessary. It is very unfortunate that the Ukrainian government played along with this scenario with Orban, I would say, in humanizing Putin and turning him into a negotiator. Unfortunately, bilateral negotiations with Putin are impossible on the part of Ukraine," said Volodymyr Tsybulko.
The political scientist noted that today's attack on Kyiv should awaken the Ukrainian authorities' desire to appeal to their partners for additional weapons and air defense equipment.
- On the morning of July 8, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. Nearly 20 people were killed and about a hundred were wounded in the Kyiv region, Kryvyi Rih, Pokrovsk, Dnipro, and Kyiv.
