Yoon Suk Yeol said he would discuss the threat North Korea poses to Europe due to its military ties with Russia with NATO leaders.
The South Korean President emphasized that his country will decide on military aid to Ukraine based on the effectiveness of the new military agreement between Moscow and Pyongyang.
"Military cooperation between Russia and North Korea poses a distinct threat and grave challenge to the peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in Europe," Yoon Suk Yeol stated.
South Korea protested when Russia and North Korea signed a "mutual defense" treaty in Pyongyang in June.
- On June 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited North Korea at the invitation of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The two countries signed an agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership, which includes mutual assistance in the event of an attack on one of the signatories.
