Voloshyn said they withdrew from Chasiv Yar to protect Ukrainian troops from ongoing Russian attacks.
"The situation remains controlled by Ukraine's Defense Forces. Most of the attacks are concentrated in the southern part of Chasiv Yar, with 32 hostile attacks reported, including 5 on the city itself. Russian aviation is active, and the focus has now shifted closer to Toretsk," Voloshyn added.
He noted that Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 11 attacks yesterday and 9 attacks the day before. Today, Russia continues its efforts to pressure Ukrainian defenders near Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, and the Klishchiivka area.
