Russia tries to surround Ukrainian soldiers near Prohres, no order to withdraw - DeepState
Invading Russian army is trying to encircle a part of Ukraine's troops near Prohres, Donetsk region. The brigade command doesn't give the order to withdraw
DeepState analysts report this.
"We were approached by fighters with the 31st Brigade's 1st and 3rd Battalions, who have been defending themselves in the encirclement for the last few days. To the south of Lozuvatske, the Russian army has formed a neck, through which we have to hold a number of positions west of height 236.9," the statement says.
The Russian forces are reportedly trying to get as close as possible to Ivanivka.
Analysts report that the tactical situation became critical over the weekend due to the disorganized retreat of an infantry brigade. The 47th Brigade, which arrived to assist, could not repel the larger Russian forces. Additionally, two companies had already been concentrated in the village.
"The 31st Brigade soldiers report risks and potential consequences to their battalion leadership, which supports them. However, the brigade leadership insists that the fighters remain surrounded until the last soldier. Company command is nearly non-existent, with commanders either wounded or killed," the analysts write.
Analysts add that Russian troops are now infiltrating Vovche to resume their assault on the village in the afternoon.
- UK intelligence assessed that Russian forces may have taken a tactical pause in the Chasiv Yar area, conducting probing attacks and reconnaissance. The hottest area is between Avdiivka and Pokrovsk.
