Russia digs up coffins of fallen Ukrainian soldiers from graves - Kherson City Council member
Oksana Pohomiy, a member of the Kherson City Council, noted that in the villages of Kalanchak and Brylivka in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, Russians dug up and took away the coffins of Ukrainian soldiers who died on the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion
She spoke about this on Espreso TV.
"I don't know why the occupiers did this, but last week in Kalanchak (a village in the Kherson region - ed.) they dug up three graves with the dead of our military, who died on the first day of the full-scale invasion. These soldiers were buried by our people. And for some reason, the Russians needed these coffins with Ukrainian dead soldiers. And about 10 more coffins were dug up in Brylivka (another village in the Kherson region - ed.) The occupiers simply levelled the graves to the ground. I don't know where they took the remains of the soldiers. Perhaps, the invaders are going to use it in the exchange of prisoners," said the member of the Kherson City Council.
In her opinion,Russia is doing everything it can to raze to the ground at least some reminder of Ukrainian soldiers and Ukraine in general.
- The Centre of National Resistance also reported that in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, Russia has introduced a draft law aimed at patriotic education of schoolchildren, involving Ukrainian children in Kremlin propaganda movements.
