Russia deploys barrier detachments of Kadyrov's fighters on border with Kharkiv region
The Russian Federation has deployed barrier detachments of Kadyrov's fighters on the border with Kharkiv region to support the regrouping of its troops
Nazar Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Khortytsia group, said this during a telethon.
"There is information that they will deploy these units (Kadyrov's fighters - ed.) to support the regrouping of their troops. Russia is adhering to the tactic of deploying barrier detachments from among the personnel of this Akhmat unit. Of course, they will be deployed somewhere on the border or near the border with the northern Kharkiv region," he explained.
According to Voloshyn, the Russians are deploying units on the border with Kharkiv region, as the Russian Armed Forces have suffered losses there and are broken. Therefore, in order to support its actions, Russia "is forced to maneuver reserves, move units near the line of our state border, and replenish its forces and means at the expense of reserves from the Russian airborne troops and the 11th and 44th army corps of the Russian Federation.”
- As of May, about 9,000 personnel were serving in pro-Russian Chechen units in Ukraine. Kadyrov's fighters also continue to train Russian soldiers.
