Russia claims drone attack on Belgorod region: oil depot allegedly on fire
Russia accused Ukraine of a drone attack on Tuesday night, March 5. Russian media report a hit on an oil depot in the Belgorod region, where a fire allegedly broke out.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, three airplane-type UAVs were fired at the facilities in Russia at night. Russian air defense allegedly destroyed them all over the territory of the Belgorod region.
At the same time, the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported an "emergency situation" in the Gubkinsky urban district.
"After the explosion, a fire was reported at an infrastructure facility. No one was injured. Operational and emergency services are working at the scene," he wrote in a telegram and added that the circumstances of the incident are being established.

The Russian Telegram channel 112 claims that the Gubkinsky oil depot in the village of Dolgoye, Belgorod region, was attacked by drones. According to their sources, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.
Later, 112 published the first photo from the oil depot after the alleged UAV attack. They add that one tank is currently on fire, and no one was injured in the incident.
