Russia attacks Ukraine's power grid, civilians injured, damage in four regions

Damage to energy infrastructure facilities
According to Ukrenergo, Ukraine’s state-owned power company, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure at night.
The attack damaged equipment in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kyiv regions.
According to DTEK, another power company, Russia also attacked one of its thermal power plants. As a result, three employees were injured.
"The plant's equipment was also seriously damaged. Power engineers are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the attack," the statement said.
Attack’s aftermath in Dnipropetrovsk region
Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, said that men aged 30, 41 and 63 were injured in the attack. Two of them were hospitalized in moderate condition.
In the Nikopol region, 7 private houses, 5 outbuildings, cars, power lines, and construction equipment were damaged by Russian attack.
Strike in Vinnytsia region
The head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Borzov, reported that a strike was recorded during a Russian attack in the region.
"The enemy attack resulted in a hit to a critical infrastructure facility. There are no casualties. All necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences," he wrote.
Explosion in Zaporizhzhia region
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, said that an explosion occurred in the region at 03:42 a.m.
Air defense operation in Kyiv
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that the Air Defense Forces were downing Russian drones.
Later, the Kyiv City State Administration informed that the Air Defense Forces destroyed all enemy targets on the outskirts of Kyiv.
"At the moment, no damage or casualties have been reported in the capital (the operational report is being updated and clarified)," the Kyiv City State Administration added.
Ukrainian air defense destroys 27 Shaheds and 5 missiles
On the night of June 20, the Russian army launched 36 air targets at the territory of Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 27 drones and 5 missiles, according to Ukraine's Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
Russia launched a total of 9 missiles of various types and 27 attack UAVs:
- 4 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles
- 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles
- 2 Kh-59 guided missiles;
- 27 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs.
The main area of attack is eastern Ukraine, in particular Dnipropetrovsk region.
The air defense system was operating in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Vinnytsia regions.
As a result, 32 air targets were shot down, including 4 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, an Kh-59 guided missile, and 27 drones.
