Ukraine reports 166 combat clashes at front, heaviest fighting in Pokrovsk sector

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 06:00 a.m.

According to the updated information, yesterday Russian forces launched 45 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, and dropped 58 guided bombs. In addition, they used nearly 2,155 ‘kamikaze’ drones and laucnhed over 5,000 artillery attacks, including 105 times from multiple launch rocket systems.

Ten Ukrainian settlements were hit by Russian airstrikes yesterday.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck four Russian command posts, four manpower and weapons concentrations, and another important Russian facility.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk sector, 11 Russian attacks took place. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled assaults near Stepova Novoselivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attacked 15 times, trying to advance near Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Nadiya, Zelenyi Hai, Makiivka, Yampolivka, and Torske.

In the Kramatorsk sector, 21 clashes were recorded near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops launched nine attacks near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 78 Russian attacks near Vodiane Druhe, Myrolyubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Zelene, Udachne, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, and Yantarne.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions 12 times near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Novosilka, and Velyka Novosilka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces made one unsuccessful attempt to attack Ukrainian units near Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian troops launched one attack on Ukrainian positions and were repelled.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled seven attacks by Russian invading forces over the past day. Russian troops carried out 435 artillery attacks, conducted 25 airstrikes, and dropped 33 guided bombs.

In the Siversk sector, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

• Oleksiy Hetman, a reserve major of the National Guard and a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, noted that less than 2 km remain between two Russian groups near Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.
