He said this on the Espreso TV channel.

"In the Bakhmut sector, the Russian army is actively storming Chasiv Yar and its surroundings from the direction of Bohdanivka. The enemy is not engaged in any active assault operations in the area of defence of the Rubizh brigade. The Russians are amassing reserves of manpower and equipment, as well as reconnaissance of our forward positions. At the same time, the enemy is firing on our positions and using artillery. Numerous enemy FPV drones are operating every day," said Kozhubenko.

According to the National Guard major, Russian army is actively using tactical aviation in the area of Chasiv Yar.

"As for the enemy's reserves and the number of its grouping, there is no exact figure. But we can understand that the enemy has 3-5 times more personnel than we do. Also, the Russians have a significant advantage in equipment and artillery," said Kozhubenko.

  • Since the beginning of the day on June 4, 42 combat engagements have taken place on the frontline. Ukrainian forces are repelling Russian attacks in several sectors.
  • Vladyslav Selezniov, a military expert and spokesman for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (2014-2017), believes that the Russians will focus their main efforts on the eastern flank of the Russian-Ukrainian front.
