Robotyne ledge is informational pretext for Russia, DeepState co-founder says

Roman Pohorilyi, co-founder and analyst of DeepState, told how important the Robotyne ledge is for Russians and how the Armed Forces of Ukraine are acting in the area

He said this on Espreso TV.

"As for the road that runs near Tokmak, we have the weapons to get there if we want to. We strike as soon as we have the opportunity - accumulation, concentration, logistics and so on. That is, we need to act depending on the priority. For the Russians, the Robotyne ledge is more of an informational pretext. They have said that we need to cut the Robotyne ledge at all costs. We can see how many lives the occupying Russian forces are giving up to show how they dealt with the results of the Ukrainian counter-offensive. This is their message — to sacrifice their people for nothing so that the news can tell about it later. But the Ukrainian Armed Forces have weapons that can inflict damage," he said.

In general, the situation on the southern front, near Robotyne, has not changed, it is a continuous "grey zone,”  Pohorilyi said.

"It is a continuous dynamic zone where the enemy is trying to constantly attack, even with a few infantrymen, to gain a foothold in the ruins they have levelled to the ground. It is very difficult to hide there. The Ukrainian Armed Forces immediately search for them with drones, hit them and destroy them. The chase from Ukrainian drones, the concentration of forces, the accumulation of forces, the attempts to advance in the Robotyne area — this is happening all the time," he said.

The Russians are trying to advance not only in the Robotyne area, but also near Novopetrivka and Verbove: "They are trying to find some weaknesses there. Usually, with their numbers, they make some progress. It all depends on how much strength they have left. Judging by how much they have accumulated, they have quite a lot left. So it is very difficult for our military there."

  • On June 28, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 59 combat engagements had already taken place since the beginning of the day. The enemy slightly increased the intensity of offensive actions in the Siverskyi sector, and the situation in the Vremivka sector is tense.
