Putin to hold new wave of mobilization shortly after 'elections' - Ukraine's Defense Ministry
After the so-called 'presidential elections', Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will order the next wave of forced mobilization for the war with Ukraine
Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk reported this.
According to him, Russia has a huge resource of manpower, as millions of Russians support Putin's aggressive war against Ukrainians.
"Those who observe the growing statistics of losses of the Russian army in the war with Ukraine and think that they should stop are mistaken. They will not stop! Because soldiers in Russia are expendable. The advance of the Russian army to Bakhmut and then to Avdiivka is proof of this. The Russians suffered huge losses during the 'meat assaults' on these cities," Havryliuk reminded.
He noted that since the last meeting in the Ramstein format (November 2023), the Russian army has lost more than 32,000 of its troops in Ukraine, and in total, more than 431,000.
"But neither Putin nor Russian commanders are deterred by the huge losses of their men. Without a doubt, some time after the imitation elections in Russia, Putin will drive his new soldiers forward with new fury. He will order the next forced mobilization and gather new mercenaries from third countries," Havryliuk predicted.
In his opinion, Ukraine should prepare for a new wave of mobilization in Russia and reinforce brigades and create reserves.
- Earlier this month, CNN reported, citing NATO intelligence, that Russia produces about 250,000 artillery rounds per month, or about 3 million per year. This is three times the amount that the US and EU countries can send to Ukraine.
- According to Havryliuk, the advantage in artillery fire along the frontline is currently 7:1 in favor of Russia.
