Military expert comments on redeployment of 3rd Brigade to Avdiivka

He said this on Espreso TV.

"It is getting harder every day in the Avdiivka sector because the Russians are making advances in this area. The invaders are using the terrain and engineering structures, I mean sewerage passages. There have already been cases of enemy penetration deep into our positions. The Russians realize that they need to push a little harder and there will be a result," noted Stupak.

According to the military expert, the 3rd Assault Brigade was sent to the Avdiivka sector.

"So far, we don't know what the goal is: to hold the city completely until our military withdraws, or it is a political goal, as it was with Bakhmut - hold it all, at any cost. The situation is very critical. We see how the Russians are gaining ground every day," emphasized Stupak.

• Over the day, 84 combat engagements took place at the front. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 70 Russian attacks in 8 key areas and killed 1,090 soldiers.
• Invading Russian army is focused on establishing full control over the logistics routes in the north of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.
