Ukraine cannot reclaim all its territories now – Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelensky claims that Ukraine cannot legally give up its territories, but does not have the power to recapture them all
He said this in an interview with Le Parisien.
"Legally, we cannot give up our territories. This is prohibited by the Constitution of Ukraine. And physically - why these loud words? If they physically control part of our territories today, then they control them. Unfortunately, not us. And if we do not have the strength to recapture all our territories today, then the West may find the strength to put Putin in his place, at the (negotiation) table, and diplomatically deal with this war," Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized that "we will not legally recognize the occupied territories," because this would mean forgiving Putin for his war crimes.
"This is impossible," the president emphasized.
At the same time, he noted that "we need a strong America and a strong Europe to force Putin to end the war diplomatically."
