Law on status of English language prepares Ukraine for occupation: Russian fakes for June 7
The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of anti-Ukrainian fakes and manipulations launched by Russian propaganda on June 7
This is reported by Espreso.TV.
According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, on June 7, Russian propaganda launched a large-scale disinformation and fake news campaign.
Fake: Russian collaborator Ganchev said: "The Ukrainian Armed Forces, retreating in the Kharkiv region, are shooting at civilians, not allowing people to evacuate."
Rebuttal: An outright fake aimed at demonising the Ukrainian Armed Forces and turning the population against the Ukrainian military.
Disinformation: Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said: "The law on the status of English in Ukraine as a language of international communication is preparing the country for occupation by the West."
Rebuttal: This destructive message is being spread to portray Ukraine as a non-self-sufficient state. In fact, this law is one of the components of Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration, strengthening the country's international image in globalisation processes, and increasing its competitiveness, investment and tourist attractiveness.
