Kremlin watchdogs will monitor pseudo-elections in Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories
Specially trained squads from the Kremlin are now overseeing the pseudo-elections in Ukraine's temporarily occupied territories. Their mission is to monitor election commissions, manipulate results, and fabricate support for Putin
This is according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense (HUR).
The HUR report reveals that one objective of the Kremlin's special forces is to assess enterprise employees' readiness to "vote" by March 10 and predict anticipated "support" for Putin.
Additionally, Russia has endorsed a new voting procedure in the occupied areas. This allows participation in illegal "elections" with either a Russian or Ukrainian passport, ID card, or alternative identification.
The HUR highlights this decision as evidence of the failure of forced passporting in the occupied territories, serving as a tool for Russian special services to identify "unreliable" Ukrainians for potential repression.
In response to Moscow's directives, occupation administrations and propagandists are spreading misinformation about the supposed "85% support" for Putin in the occupied territories. They are also promoting the "mobile voter" system, claiming every resident in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions can "vote" online and "without registration."
