Chechen warlord Kadyrov comes to Mariupol, but flees due to drone
On January 22, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov arrived in Russian-occupied Mariupol to hold a meeting in the administration, but was evacuated because of a civilian drone recording a football match
Ukrainian Mariupol Mayoral Advisor Petro Andryushchenko reported this.
According to him, Chechnya's strongman Kadyrov came to Mariupol to inform the occupying local authorities about the upcoming appointment of his son as head of the Mariupol administration.
"In the morning, he was supposed to hold a meeting in the city occupation administration on Hromova Street and then pose beautifully in the Philharmonic. Where, in fact, he was supposed to emphasize that his son should be in charge here," Andriushchenko wrote.
He noted that a football match was taking place at the stadium next to the administration, where Kadyrov was participating in the meeting. Someone was filming the game from a drone that had been lifted into the sky.
According to Andriushchenko, Kadyrov's security guards saw the drone and got scared, so they quickly evacuated the Chechen leader from the city. All further planned events were canceled.
The mayor's advisor added that the organizers tried to make the visit completely secret, and that patrols and the FSB were on duty in every yard.
