European leaders look like fools because they followed Biden into war with Russia: Manipulation of world media for July 23
Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation published a selection of anti-Ukrainian manipulations launched by the world media on July 23
According to the Center at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, on July 23, two manipulations appeared in the world media.
Manipulation: German-Finnish blogger Kim Dotcom wrote on his X page that European leaders look like absolute fools for following Biden into war with Russia - he says it finally dawns on them that they will be left with a mess. He wrote they should admit defeat, make peace with Russia, and let Zelenskyy and NATO walk side by side into the sunset.
Refutation: With these statements, the blogger promotes the Kremlin narrative that Ukraine should capitulate to Russia and the West should encourage it. In fact, concluding peace with Russia on the aggressor's terms will only legitimize its actions and create a further threat to the security of the entire region.
Manipulation: Irish journalist Chay Bowes wrote on his X page that for centuries the West has envied and feared Russia's enormous power and limitless resources, and for centuries they have tried to dismember and subjugate Russia. He wrote that Ukraine was just another corridor to try to do this, and it failed again.
Refutation: The journalist tries to portray the West as an aggressor against Russia, and Ukraine as its puppet. The goal is to discredit and stop Western military aid to Ukraine.
- Earlier, the ex-adviser of the US Defense Chief Col. Douglas Macgregor said that the West pushed Putin to attack Ukraine.
