During the Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of April 27, at least six Shahed drones crossed the Belarusian border. In response, Belarus deployed its aviation
This was reported by the Belarusian Hajun monitoring project.
According to the monitoring group, drones entered Belarusian airspace from Ukraine's Chernihiv and Kyiv regions.
“The first two of them flew in at around 00:09, and next at around 00:30, 01:00, 03:27 and 05:55 (in the morning - ed.)," the report says.
According to the project, in response to this, Belarusian aviation "was on duty in the sky over the south of Belarus all night long." A fighter jet took off around 12:15 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., and 45 minutes later, it was back in the sky.
The information about the Shahed in Belarus was also confirmed by the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk. However, according to him, only one UAV crossed the Belarusian border.
