Avdiivka on one side, Chasiv Yar on another, people are not evacuating: journalist on situation in Toretsk
Andriy Kramchenkov, editor-in-chief of Suspilne Donbas, noted that 12,000 people, including 13 children, remain in Toretsk
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Yesterday we worked with a film crew in Toretsk. According to the DeepState map, the distance from the center of Toretsk to the front line is 6.5 km. That is, mortars are already reaching, not mentioning cannon artillery or rockets. The city has no centralized water supply, no sewerage, and no heating. And at the same time, according to the head of the military administration, 12 thousand people remain in the city, including 13 children. What are these people waiting for? To evacuate under fire?" Kramchenkov emphasized.
According to the editor-in-chief of Suspilne Donbas, people continue to live in Toretsk, wooden toilets have been built near multi-storey buildings, and people use them. But at the same time, they drive cars, there are shops and ATMs, there are such contrasts.
"South of Toretsk, the Avdiivka direction is the hottest. To the north, Chasiv Yar is the dominant height above Bakhmut on the one hand and Kostiantynivka on the other, and this direction is also actively stormed by Russians. In other words, between these two directions is Toretsk, which somehow continues to live and is hardly evacuated," noted Kramchenkov.
